Oneto15, I indeed know what you are getting at, but it is also known that HAMILTON is very heavy on the old right foot, where as button is not.Its almost unheard of, of a pit crew instructing a driver to go to maximum fuel save mode before the half way mark of a race, and actually stay in that mode for almost the rest of the race bar 3 laps.

So however you look at this, Hamilton and button are hardly likely to need to conserve the exact same amount of fuel as each other, and the car should not have such a bad fuel consumption as to need to go to a fuel save mode for almost half a race. It don't add up. And in the case of McLaren i believe they said G8 what ever that means but what was clear this was a fuel save mode that apparently they have not used before, and apparently is supposed to mean Extreme savings in mpg is needed, not the normal type.

If anyone wants me to I'll ask Alonso's left rear wheel change man for the inside track - he happens to be a mate!!!! True.

Just post your question and I'll pose it to him.

Great pic Percy.

I thought for a moment you & Goose are friends with Stefano Domenicali, I'm sure I saw him on his knee's in a corner praying after the race.

On F1 generally, not just this recent polemic. Oneto is explaining how it isn't any more about motor racing - it's about rules and regulations - and Gio is pointing out it's also about betting. I'm happy to see less deaths (because the cars are so much safer, mostly down to regulations), but I'd also like to see Button "rewarded" for being a driver who is kind to his car (quite unlike Hamilton).

It is that supreme level of skill - to drive extremely fast without destroying the car - which I could get really angry about if (as could well happen) Mclaren ordered Button to cede a race to Hamilton. The Massa Alonso thing wasn't in that league - those two simply had the best cars on the day (and it was a bit of clever stuff by Massa off the line, but simply well judged and he got the advantage) not, in my book, the keeping it on the island and alive journeyman stuff which Button excels at.

But then, Button (also Massa), are just extremely good drivers....but boring and not 'bankable' in today's inverted terms. The world has been persuaded to love arrogant pushy *******s even when they indulge themselves in a stupid crash!

Well from one of the supposed punters that knows nothing, but being a veteran of many a GP at Silverstone and Monaco dating back to the Senna, Mansel & Prost days I thought for what was supposed to be a boring GP with no overtaking that wasn't bad.

Webber dominating and voicing his enjoyment when lapping Schumacher and showing that the Red Bulls are in a class of their own at the moment.

A pit lane crash along with a tyre coming off another car and flying down the pit lane.

Schumacher trying his best to kill Barrichello and the funny of the day was a spoilt little German that does not know the rules ( maybe he's one of those punters too) spitting his dummy out when he did not win because of a drive through penalty.

Maybe not the best racing we will see but non the less entertaining, and at the end of the day that's what it is, entertainment!

And I saw a different race, one where, webber won by default [happens a lotand yes good entertainment. The spoilt bratt as you call him, was penalised for actually holding up the traffic, and by doing so helping webber to get a start that helped him build up a lead that would be enough to slott into second place after his pit stop! Without the spolit brat as you call him not doing so, the spoilt bratt would have won!and webber would have finished 3rd at best. The idea was to get webber in front of Alonso, which he dually did coming out of his pit stop, 3 seconds in front!

The spoilt brats earlier actions, led to webber getting a nice 4 second start advantage from the restart!

Like I said earlier, theres more to it than just watching for incidents, and seeing who crosses the line first.

And lets put this all into perspective. Last week Ferrari were called cheats for doing something that actually only effected there drivers. This week the spoilt brats actions, not only effected his team but others too.......For me that's all part and parcel of the sport/BUSINESS.
